I’ve been reflecting on the idea of generosity and how I’m called to embrace that in every areas of my life. I tend to think of generosity in only terms of money/resources and by giving the bare minimum. I so easily believe the lie that we live in a world of scarcity and I just ration or conserve to sell protect. But that’s no what Jesus talks about when he says “give all you have to the poor” or what he embodied when he came to live and die for humanity. I am called to live with open hands, always looking to meet the needs around me without fear of being left behind.
We live in a world of abundance, we live in freedom to give and love without restraint. So for the rest of the Christmas season, I’ve decided to do a challenge of embracing this idea in small but meaningful ways. For the next 12 days I’m challenging myself to be more aware and intentional of my time, resources and energy and using them to bless and serve the world around me. I would love for you to join me!
